Keyworth Scouts attended the annual Remembrance Service in the village. The minutes silence was held at the Memorial Gates, which have recently been refurbished. A wreath was laid at the gates on behalf of the Scouts by A Pack Leader Leigh Woodward, together with all 3 services, the Twinning Association and the British Legion to name but a few.
The last post was played by a local band of cadets which always brings a lump to the throat. The band also kept everyone entertained while we were waiting for the church officals then played while everyone made their way to the church. A service was held at St Marys Magdalene Church, Keyworth which was full to the rafters as usual.
The event was well attended by the Cubs, from both sections, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders who looked very smart in their uniforms together with a poppy.
