This year our  annual family camp took place at Walesby Scout camp with record numbers attending.

The Beavers were busy with the obstacle course, cave maze (tunnelling, sometimes in the dark), archery and body boarding which consisted of going down an open flute on a mat into the lake.  Perfect in the hot weather with the leader joining in the fun.

The Cubs managed quad bikes, crate stacking and raft building.  The leaders and parents helped with the raft building as you get the drums, wood and rope and did the building.  Everyone had a great time and got really wet.

The Explorers and Scouts did leap of faith (climbing a tree and jumping off – with a harness and hard hat of course), air rifles, crate stacking and indoor climbing which was not ideal in the heat!

There was plenty of time for exploring the campsite and climbing trees.  On Sunday morning we took part in inflatable fun which was really popular.  A sumo game, bungy run, pole game and human football had young and old taking part.

There is a great atmosphere as everyone mucks in to help make sandwiches and cook the BBQ and breakfast bacon.
